error 0x12340009 (network custom upgrade)

i have never done the network upgrade with custom firmware. i currently have 3.90 m22-2 and i am trying to get 4.01-2
anyway when i do it i connect and it says somehting like i don't have 4.01 pbp and i connect to get it then i get the error 0x12340009
it closes out and i go back to the xmb. yet the executable to launch it all over again is in my game xmb. Of course the same thing happens again fi i la unch it from there too. so why cant i download it?

when you did the net update did iy download a file something like 4.01 update version 2

if so then you downloaded the -2 update for 4.01m33 and not 4.01m33 itself

if you do the update again it should downlaod the 4.01m33 update

if that doesnt work then go with doing it manually
