ok, i have tried and tried to get my 360 to connect to my computer but i still havent gotten it to work. i have figured out that i need windows media center in order to connect the two but i cant find the program on my computer!! i have windows xp, and i just upgraded my windows media player to the newest version but when i try to connect my pc to my 360 i get this message on my 360 that says that i need to write down a serial number and then i cant go any further.
i have even tried downloading a program called TVersity that someone said would connect my pc and 360 but that doesnt work either!!
the funny thing is about a year ago my 360 was running all of the music and videos from my pc fine but i just dont know why it stopped working.
most of my files are located on an external hard drive i have plugged into my pc but i dont think thats the problem because when i go to the sharing options in windows media player my 360 isnt even showing up.
i really hope someone can help me here because this is pretty much my last resort.

Search is your friend, friend! http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/...60_tversity.cfm
ALSO - You say you have XP, but do you have XP MEDIA CENTER EDITION or pro/home? If you go the route of tversity I believe that is the way to go if you dont have "media center" XP . If you have media center ( yes that is different from "Media Player" ) All you do is launch and configure that, then login to the xbox xmb then go to media, then media center. It will give you an 8 digit code to then enter in the PC and WALA! It connects. Apologize in advance for grammar as I been boozin it tonight, good luck CHIEF
