Hi guys,

Just a quick question that hopefully you guys will know much about...

I installed the homebrew channel successfully this morning... i did this to install:

First, i wanted to save my saved game from twilight princess, so i copied it to the sd card, and transferred it to my PC for backup. I then copied over the twilight loader pack to the sd card. I brought it back to my wii, and i placed the card in the front slot. Copied the twilight save from the sd card to the wii after deleting the old saved data on the wii.

I then loaded my twilight princess disc (version 2 btw), and loaded up the save. walked backwards, and it crashed just as it should... loaded up and successfully installed the homebrew channel. Swell... here is where my problems begin...

I loaded up all the apps i put together from the homebrew website... loaded fine and in the correct place i'm sure as i assembled the pack from the wiibrew website. boot.elf is in the root of the card, along with the apps folder, etc...

i First put the sd card into the geko, as i figure some of the apps require the geko to function properly. I put the card in to the game cube memory slot on my wii. ( i did have another gc memory card in slot 2... i dont know if that matters).

I loaded up the homebrew channel... didnt find a single application.

I then pulled the memory card out of the geko after rebooting, and placed it into the front slot of my wii. Re-loaded the homebrew channel... this time it found every application. Swell...

So i went on to run the patchMii program (which i read was required to be loaded before i attempt to run the MPlayer app). First of all, i have to note that there was no graphic or anything for patchMii... just a executable file. I click on it... i wait... "Loading PatchMii 0%" i wait... i wait... i realize its clearly hung up, so i exit out.

Here is where i discover yet another problem... i click on the exit button... "do you wish to exit to the boring main menu" I select yes... black screen... i wait... nothing.

In a bit of a panick... i quickly power off and on my unit... thankfully it comes back alive after a hard boot (why does the exit button not work?)

I then bring it back up and decide just to run MPlayer to see if that at least loads... as it does have a purty graphic and all... it must right? "Loading MPlayer 0%" i wait... i wait... nothing.

So 3 questions.

#1 why does the sd geko not read the sd card when i boot the homebrew channel?
#2 why does the exit button bring me to a endless black screen requiring a hard reset?
#3 why is no application loading past 0% when executed?

Thanks for your time!

Well in answer to all of them, i suggest re-doing the twilight hack is your answer. I will have a detailed tutorial on this in the forum by tomorrow evening if you still need help by then

Re-doing it? Will that really help? I'm not sure why it wouldn't take the first time and would the second time, especially if the channel did get installed and is loadable, and recognizes programs off the front loader slot (just cant launch them).

oh, and i forgot to mention... my wii is modded. It has the D2CPro-9 installed and works fine.

Could this be why the homebrew channel is doing what i said above?

I believe i solved one of my problems from a thread outside the forum:

http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=115506&page=12

looks like the 0% load problem happens if you have game cube memory cards plugged in... primarily in slot B it appears.

I'll try it again tonight after removing these memory cards...

Do you think it will fix the hang when i try to exit the program, and the problem i had with it not recognizing the memory card through the gecko?

I did have the other GC memory card plugged in to slot B at all times when i tried it this morning.
