i have a hp pavillion elite m9340f pc and i have no idea how to install my via chip so i can hack my 360... and after i set up the chip how would i set it up with iprep? and what firmware speed do u recomend?

if u have no idea how to install a pci card then you probably will never figure out how to do anything else that is required to do a flash.

i have everything setup that i need i just dont know how to setup a via card... im sorry i have a life and dont have time to know everything about computers

By saying that, who ever answers correctly has no life now. Good way of getting an answer.
Step 1) Install the chip (hardware)
Step 2) Install chip drivers
If you don't know how to do 1, I reccomend you learn by goolging SATA Chip installment.

You are asking questions that are answered in the instructions on how to do what you are asking.....what response do you expect to get.
dont know how to install a PCI card= google.com and type: installing pci cards.
dont know what firmware to use or how to do it= read instructions that are available.

ive been serching for hours and i havent found anything at all and in the tut im using it doesnt tell me how to install pci cards and i just googled it again and nothing tells me how to install it so if u cant give me a link or tell me how to do it please dont bother posting anything

wow i wasted hours trying to install a via card just to figure out i cant but thnx anyway. is there anyway to hack the 360 w/o using a via card? i have some slots in my computer for sata cables i have a benq drive

omg... dude, if you can't install that card, give up on the flash. It literally is like putting a card in a slot. Picture like swiping a credit card through a register, except it stays there. That's exactly what you do. If you aren't able to effectively search, and use google or other tools to find out how to perform one of the easiest installations possible, do you really feel comfortable hacking the firmware on your xbox 360 drive?

i just said i cant install it i dont have any slots for it do u understand wtf im sayin? is there anything else i could use like sata to usb or do i really need a via card? i have a liteon drive and the tut im using says its the same as a benq so would the benq hack work? if it wont could i switch the drive with a hitachi and mod it?

If you have a lite-on drive it's not the same as a BenQ. The disk trays look similar but the Lite-on can't be flashed. The info for that is in other posts so I won't get into it.
However for your pci card why don't you just remove your ethernet card and install the sata one while you're flashing and then put your ethernet card back once your done? Depending on your set up you might have another card in there that you don't really need that you can get rid of. My Vaio had a port for connecting coax that I removed to make room for my sata card. Just a thought.

Well that makes a huge difference from what you were saying before. I kind of took it as you didn't know how to install the card, not that you didn't have the space.
Just ignore what stealthdf said. I would just pull one of your other cards out temporarily and put the via card in. Then just use it to flash the drive, and before you go back to windows, I would swap them back out again. Flashing really isn't that difficult, so you should be able to do it.
As for your questions, no, you would have to use the via card, you can't use anything else. And also (like copper kid said) check to ensure you have the benq drive, not the lite-on. Because the drive trays are the same, but you can only flash the benq.

im almost certain i have a liteon i didnt open my 360 yet but i can see through a hole and theres yellow wires if i had white it would be a benq. i found this tut but i would like a more detailed 1 w/pics and downloads if there are any could some1 post a link and how would i know what pci card is my ethernet?

Duh where does ur ethernet cable plug in at????
do u have a camera u can take a picture of the inside of ur computer for us and we can just tell u which card to take out and such.
