SPOLIER
I'm at the level where I'm fighting the super mutant looking for galaxy radio, why is it that the raiders just shoot on point? and does anyone know any good places to buy food or earn money other then megaton?
also the story is good the father and son thing is a bit lame though!

I don't think you should talk about what's going on in the game, just because others will look at this Thread. Sure you may put in RED that it's a Spoiler, but people will read on anyways!

Possible Spoiler, just talking about locations nothing storyline
Hey, i have been playing the game for a few hours and i was wondering how to get rid of the radiation posing? The only thing that i have found is the rad away witch only does like -95pts iv slept but that only does health. I cant find a doctors or anything, is there any clean water and can you fill your water bottles up with it. My other question is how t get to the washington monument. It took me like 2 hours to get where i am (like 500ft from it, i can see all the details) i just can find a way to get to it, all the paths i find are loaded with junk. I really want to get there, im in the nation ruins or something right by the Lincoln memorial? and the red spike base with the supermuntants.

This game is Da $hit, I lov eit, I never played prev Fallout games, but took me a good hour to learn the Pipboy and map.
Other then that YES some dude was all nice to me and the moment I walked passed him to some loot he shot he aimed a gun at me, THAT was his last mistake.
I love this game, this game is up there with Bioshock only MORE expansive . The whole game is awsome. If u like Bishock & oblivion youll love this game.
I downloaded it and checked fine on 3 diff ISO checks , strom, muleter, etc.

i have been playing online, i have never played this series either and it was very addicting for me as well. i also agree it seems hard, but maybe its just cause i am not used to it, i put it from medium to easy. then i died like 10 times over stupid things and put the controller down cause i kept having to walk like 10 mins because there isnt any checkpoints in betweekn (shame on publisher) also whoever gave the like for that pirate and bethesda thing, thanks i enjoyed reading that. all in all i think its a pretty good game, oh yea one more thing the outside enviroment from what i have seen is all like on a brown scale meaning biuilding all look the same, and all of the colors are on the brown scale (kinda like grayscale, what they did with gears of war). other than that i will see how much longer it can keep my attetion before i revert back to saints row 2.

Heres is 1 praise that makes this game stand alone BEtter then the rest.
WHen u actually kill somethign or someone, and u leave the area,
THE BODY is still there, and the weapon or items,.
It may not sound liek alot but that kind of detail is crazy. The more I play the more I want to go on to the next mission, I only wish certain areas ,
like Mutant hot spots would spawn more NPC's, but usually after you clear some area out its in teh clear, then fast trvl keeps u safe. Love the game. And yeah I want to play saints row 2 but Not till I atleast beat Fallout or if socom is THAT good Ill split my time between them.
Once u lvl up u get adicted to mitigating your stats. HEres my advice, get to lockpick lvl 50 asap. Use mostly hunting rifles and shotguns, shoot legs first then the head.
Dont worry too much on meds, u can heal using the bathroom (its an ingame thing) use sinks and water fountains. If your stuck knowing where to go use mini and world map, u might notice a door u can enter, took me forever to find the medic and he was by the entrance to megaton.

i cant figure out how to use the map i am still trying to find the town you have to go to after you get out of the vault. starts with an M? i dunno if i am going to totally wrong way or what. but i cant find it. and i got frustrated with the map.

The map is in your pip boy 3rd tab and your objective is the pillar on your compass. The town is called megaton

im just wondering... do you have to patch/fix the game before you can burn and play it..like it says in the NFO file ??? or can you burn stright after you unpack it ??

i just par'd the corrupted files, un-rared and burnt. i still cant find that damn town. i think i have gone too far. how far is it from the school, and that first woman you meet? i am at the friendship trainstation and i feel like i am going to harder parts that i cant complete because i cant find that damn town. i cross the river after the school and go right and i still cant find it.

how can you tell if the files are corrupted??? when i unpacked it, it did not have any problems ??

if you un packed it and it unpacked fine then you are good, if you couldnt unpack it that means you have corrupted rars and you would have to repair them with a program called quick par/ that is granted you were able to download the .par file along with the .rars

ok ill try to explain it better this time. Go to your pip boy (B) and press (R) once from weapons or twice from stats and you will be in the 3rd tab or light over, the map will be here. Look for a pillar thinggy that looks sort of like the Washington monument, this is your objective, in your and my case the town.

If your using winrar, it will automatically repair and create the iso, I dont exactly like it as I used ot repair my self but its nifty.
just look for the file (EXAMPLE) Fallout3-x?imiage file, should be 7,500,00kb, .

If any of you guys are further then me i would appreciate some help. Dont worry im not going to give away any spoilers. Im at little lamplite and the guy wont let me in and i dont know were to look for his friends. I tired to be as vauge as possible in case you are not as far. Hopefully if you weren't that you wont get butthurt about knowing the name of a location.
