For the beginning, I just want you to know that I already surfed and searched through this and serveral other forums to find an answer, but unfortunately I wasn't successfull. It would be very nice if anyone can help me because I am a little bit lost at the moment /:
I got my XBOX flashed yesterday and bought the SH-D162D. I installed it in my PC (IDE) and installed the Kreon 1.0 firmware. I downloaded IMGBurn and the XBox Backup Creator. I saved a image with the Backup Creator - nice.
But now I want to burn that image, and that's the problem. The Xbox Backup Creator doesn't recognize the blank DVD+R DL. I read that it could be that I have to change the booktype, so I opened ImgBurn and clicked on the "boook-symbol". There I choose the Samsung SH-D162D and the DVD +R DL Media - but then I instantly get the error: "Unknown (FAILED!) Reason: Invalid Command Operation Code".
I have made a screenshot of the Xbox Creator (so you can see it recognizes the SH-D162D) and the IMGCreator (so you can see the error).
As I have said, I have the firmware Kreon 1.00, I installed the SH-D162D as IDE. I have 2 harddisks in Raid 0, but I don't think this is an important hint, is it? I also unplugged all the other DVD-Writers from my system.
What could be the error? I would be very happy to get a reply (and YES I used the search function :D) Have a nice day! Best regards
Just use ImgBurn to burn the image.
Put the DVD+R DL disc into your burner, select write image to disc, select the .dvd file.
You might have to set the layerbreak as well which is 1913760
You didn't try burning it in the Samsung drive did you? As it's just a DVD Rom drive not a burner.
