Just curious is all to know if many people are having problems with the new elite system. Just got mine mid Sept. and no problems yet. I work at a shipping store so with the amount of these being returned in a weeks time i still thought id get one because of the game selection. What ive been doing is always after gameplay power it off and unplug the brick so it doesnt over heat.

What is the amount of time that should be played before worrying about over heating. LOL i dont want to be in a middle of GTA4 and have the thing over heat that would suck lots of time in the game in all.

So basically lol question is.....Anyone having probs with there Elites that were purchased in the sept time frame to now and what are ya doing to keep everything cool.

Well my system isn't the Elite one, but it has a 120GB HDD installed, and I really haven't had any overheating problems (though this is my 7th 360). With my first 360, M$ told me to keep it in an open area, so not in the entertainment center. They also said not to lay it on carpet, because it can't ventilate that well. So I just have mine on the table next to the PS3, and haven't had any problems! I usually fall asleep with it on, and still it's running good (knock on wood)!
