i just saw a comment on newegg for this board saying

Other Thoughts: Have an older Core 2 handy if you intend to run this with some of the latest Core 2 Quads...they require BIOS F4.

whats that about ?

Some boards ship with an out of date BIOS installed on them, as that was put on there when they were manufactured, which is likely to have been several months ago. As a result the latest CPUs don't always function correctly or at all when put into the board with an older BIOS revision. This isn't a problem I've encountered with Gigabyte boards myself though, even when a CPU hasn't been supported I've had it recognised no problem. Then again, I don't own a 45nm Quad core.

the best thing is buy mobo and then ask someone that knows how to update Bios to update it for you, to the latest bios. Once updated i don't see there would be component incompatible problems

No, I think the GIGABYTE GA-EP45T-EXTREME is the latest Gigabyte one.

Coolermaster PSUs are pretty dire. Use a Corsair HX or TX instead. The manufacturer of your PSU doesn't have to be, and generally shouldn't be the manufacturer of your case as well.

Yeah, actually if you're overclocking, a tower cooler for a quad is pretty much mandatory.

ok what about PSU's ? i have a master power p350s in my old build right now that thing sounds like a damn jet plane. my gpu and my cpu fans are nearly as loud. are PSUs expected to be loud or are there ones out there are quiet than others or just way more quiet period ?

Both the Corsair HX and Antec Earthwatts units are near-silent, dead silent to most people's ears.

ok. so i have chosen
CORSAIR CMPSU-620HX 620W ATX12V v2.2 and EPS12V 2.91

since its ATX it will fit in the 690CM right ? but since the case design puts the psu on the bottom, will that cause any problems with the fitting of any kind ?

no, it will fit perfectly. the only problem you might have is short cables. well, the cables will be long enough to conect with the motherboard, but if you plan on doing some cable management, then i might be alittle short.
