Hi all,

Firstly, I know there are various posts about Drive Errors but I need to explain my situation as I have already tried a lot of solutions:

Basically, my Wii suffered the same fate as quite a few others, with an accidental broken clip for the ribbon cable. In the short term I connected it with a piece of electrical tape, while I could afford a replacement drive. This seemed to work.

I received the replacement drive, (my original was a DMS, this is a D2B) and hooked it up, it sucked a disc in at first, but now nothing. No spin up at turn on, no eject or anything.

I have even tried replacing the ribbon cable.

Please help me! I have already spent a lot of money on these parts and I am getting frustrated now.

Have you connected both the ribbon cable and white cable to the drive?

yes I connected both cables, and the ribbon is definitely seated properly
