Flashed my 360, Didnt brick my system but no backups working?

So I flashed my Hitachi 360 drive early this mourning using 360 firmware toolbox. My problem is that my 360 still wont read my backup games. I currently have no blank dual layer dvd's so I'm testing the system with original xbox title Fable: The lost chapters. I updated my system w/ the backwards compatibility update CD from the Microsoft website so I know the system can play the original fable: The lost chapters. Am I missing something? The system isn't bricked it just stayed normal. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=67ip0xCbtMs I actually followed these instructions word for word. Can someone tell my where I might have gone wrong... Or maybe help me with another program for doing this? my AIM is the same as my name here. So if anyone can help it's much appreciated.

is fable a orig disk or a xbox backup?
the xbox 360 will play xbox backups but they need to be xtreme backups, in other words your old xbox1 backups wont work.

Thanks guys that was actually the problem they were my old backups from my original xbox. update on the firmware it worked perfectly :) all the reading up i did and it was actually very easy!
