Problem with TMPEG, Sound & File Size

im using TMPEG to encode various DIVX AVI etc. but gettin a couple of probs.
1st is no sound after encoding
2nd file size for a 90 min film is coming back at 2.3 gig. so is asking for 3 or 4 CDr to be used.
And occassional problem with Unsupported file.
can anybody plz help??
