There aren't companies that will swap the drive for you! If you mean by modders, you can usually find them places! Just use Google! And I'm haven't heard of many people that will swap the Lite-On Drives. Just wait for the FW to be released for the Lite-On! I'm hearing that it's actually coming along well.

Well if you actually go to their message board, a lot of people have said that they were fast, and that it worked out great! I didn't see many that said that they were horrible, or that it was a scam, so I think it should be fine!

I thought the Lite-On couldn't be flashed? Something I read about it only being able to read or something. Sorry if I'm behind... just got a new 360 and it had this drive so only saw a little info on it. So I guess my question is... will it be able to be flashed like the other drives?

they can't be... but the important information can be extracted and flashed to ANOTHER drive... and then you install it in your xbox...
it seems like a quite complicated process and can only be done by people having the specialized hardware to do it... not just some random SATA card...
so its definitely extra money to pay the guy to do it plus provide a drive that can be flashed.

The guy that makes the Firmware's for the 360, is saying that the firmware is coming along for Lite-On, but it's still being worked on.
Also, for others that have iXtreme 1.4/1.41 on their drives, he also said that 1.5 is coming soon as well!

If you know how to use IRC, just go onto the Efnet server, and they are in the #fw channel! That's where you can go to see updates.
