I have a wii modded with the d2pro chip.
When i go to make a backup of a game i burn it at 4x and it works but when been played in the wii it makes a weird loud crunch noise.
So when i burn it again at a higher speed like 8-16x a different quieter beeping noise comes.
So i was just asking if anyone new why that would happen.
And im using verbatim dvd+r
If i play a game like mario kart it will make no noise but when i play resident evil 4 it makes the beeping sound, and bully makes a really loud crunch noise...
I cant see why different games would make the wii sound werid?
Thanks

Writing speed has nothing to do with the reading speed. However, if you write at a certain speed, and it produces some difficulties in reading (read: more errors) then the drive may make louder noises while trying to read the disc.

Also, although DVD+R's work, they produce far more DRE's than DVD-r's do. Switch to DVD-Rs.

i too have a d2pro installed and i have some strange sounds too, i have done some research and it's most likely we have the iching/eject issue. we can solve it by updating our chips to 2.3 firmware and (i fergot what its called) using the d2prog
