Is Bitsetting neceassary if i dl'd the game from torrent?

Well what program are you using to burn the game? Just use imgburn, and you don't have to change the booktype or anything!

thats actually not true, you still need to have a bitsetting capable drive. When i used img burn it would say unknow(failed) and if i would check up on the disc afterwards it would work but say it was still in dvd-rw form so i had to buy a new 25 dollar dive form micro center, it worked. I know wear your coming from, but if you want to play on live bitsetting is very necessary (probably more important then stealth games) if your going to be offline you dont need it at all with 1.4

Sorry I'm still fairly new. What is 1.4?

And so what your saying is if I had a DVD+R DL drives that Does NOT support bitsetting I do not need it? if I don't go on live?

Ok i ment the dive firmware of ixtreame 1.4 and you do NOT need to change to booktype if your are going to play only offline, however if you do want to play online changing the booktype is a must if you dont want to get banned

I have a optiarc dvd-rw ad 7560a and i think it is nu-tech. Im not sure if it supports bitsetting, and im using imgburn. How can I check this?

Seniors.... is it still necessary to booktype? I burned a string of copies lately and forgot to set for dvd-rom on a few of them (image burn with sony burner). They still finish burning in imgburn and do play fine but are they detectable? I seen in a pastbin cveva illuded that booktyping was written in the fw along time ago... is that true or did I misunderstand?
