I'm considering to buy a 360, and as such, I was reading up on this console's modding possibilities. Concerning the excellent help I've found here about Wii modding, I thought I'd ask here again:
- What is flashing exactly? Does it require a modchip, or is it something I can do myself? And if it is something I can do myself, does it void the warranty? (probably, but thought I'd ask)
- I'm not sure about the format most 360 games are on. Are they regular DVD's, DVD-DL's, or HD-DVD's? In case of HD, how can you make backups of those? Is that possible with a regular DVD-DL burner?
- I know the Wii requires a special DVD reader from LG-816* in order to make backups of original games. Is this also the case for 360 games?

wow theres alot of lazy people here.....u can't just tell the man what he wants to know? anyway.....yes it does void ur waranty for the fact that u have to open ur xbox 360. Here is some quite small basic knowledge
1. open your xbox 360
2. get the dvd version
3. follow the instructions and apply a firmware update
