Hi, I just recently got my 360 flashed by some guy whos been doing it for years. I us verbatim DVD+R DL discs and clonecd to burn the games with. I don't know what fm I have being as I didn't mod it myself.

The problem is that when I put the burnt game into the drive, it says "unreadable disc," but when I eject the disc and put it back in it reads it and it works. Sometimes I have to repeat ejecting and putting it back in anywhere from 2-5 times. It is VERY annoying. I was wondering if anyone has had a similar problem.

Thanks in advance for any help, I used search before posting and hope I didn't miss something that already covered this.

Ok, what speed did you burn the game at? It would help if you could find out what FW they put on your system! You may want to contact them for that.

You may also want to try imgburn instead of CloneCD. I used to use CloneCD, but got problems, so went with imgburn, and haven't had a problem since.

Thx for the quic reply! I'll e-mail the guy and find out. I always burn at 2x-2.4x but most of the time at 1X. imgburn eh? I'll try it, and hopefully it'll work. I'll post back with the FW the guy put on here.

Just burn them at 2x-2.4x. I've even heard of people that burned at the slowest speed possible, and the 360 was having problems reading that! I dunno, I've always burned at 2.4x, and haven't had any problems.

You might actually want to try burning them faster, maybe 4x.
I burn all my games at 4x and haven't had any issues yet. Also, make sure your burner has the most up to date firmware.

Ok, the mod guy said that he either used 1.4 or 1.4 for BenQ, whatever that means

I think what he meant was that he either put 1.4 on or 1.41. 1.41 is the latest for the BenQ, I guess there were a few problems with the 1.4, so c4eva came out with 1.41 which fixed a few things. And like diehllane said, you could try at 4x, and see if the drive will read those.

Well if it's a problem with the drive, you should just buy the drive on ebay! They sell them new, and they are below $50 for one. A lot better than having to replace the Lens in my opinion!
