new xbox360 laser pot reading low

just took delivery of a new laser ..and i thought i would check the dvd pot before fitting it ...it reads 2.7 which seems very low..some posts say you should never have it this low because the laser will burn out very quickley should i adjust it before fitting it or what.....

If its a brand new laser then it shouldnt need any recalibration unless if you experience problems with it reading media, I'd say leave it as it is.

ok i will give it a blast i just thought that it was to low a setting for the laser which would result in it burning out very quickly

new lasers straight from the factory are normally pre-calibrated, you needn't worry.
