Hi is anyone having problems with the new Fifa 09 on 4.01 m33-2 cfw?
Everytime a ball is passed it slows down terribly then returns to normal. It pretty much unplayable.

Im running the CPU clocks at 333, and cant go any faster than that.

Ive also tried compressing an ISO into CSO but that didnt help and im wondering if its somehting to do with the firmware. I dont really want to downgrade though, but will if anyone thinks it will help.

Cheers

I did some further research and am thinking it might be something to do with the iso/cso.
First thing i did was convert the iso to a cso using PSP ISO Compressor V1.4 and level 9 compression.
The game was more jumpy than anything.

Next thing i did was run it at level 5 compression. The game improved dramatically.

I havent had time to try another level, but will when i finish work.
The question i have is does anyone know of a optimal compression level??

Intuitively would have thought that an uncompressed image(ISO) would be much quicker than a compressed image (CSO)? Can anyone explain this??

What size ms do you have, if its a 4gig you can format your stick from fat32 to fat in which it gives it quicker read speed due to less partitions?

hey mate do this Type in ?format x: /fs:fat? (without the quotes and where x: is your memory stick drive letter). Ignore the warnings and just hit Enter or Yes. Just remember to backup all of your files first before you do anything, just drag the full contents of ms to desktop. When done it will look like theres nothing on ms just drag all the file back to ms, do not reformat with psp coz it will format back to fat 32. Good luck!!

Now all the games run smooth as silk.

Will the same work for an 8 Gig stick? I just bought one?

You dont have a drop down box, you need to connect psp to pc, know what your drive letter is, then goto command prompt and Type in ?format x: /fs:fat? (without the quotes and where x: is your memory stick drive letter). Ignore the warnings and just hit Enter or Yes. Just remember to backup all of your files first before you do anything, just drag the full contents of ms to desktop. Glad to hear everything is running well.Just a side note,if games take a little while to load,or lags a bit, after 3.80 CFW,the drivers were changed, which in result lead to increased load times/lag during gameplay. That's why DA had released the 3.71fatms driver for various CFW's.Not sure if he made one for 4.01 M33-2.

PSP #1:Fat,3.71 M33-4 CFW with 1.50-2 kernal add-on.
PSP #2:Slim,3.71 M33-4 CFW
