I've been planning to mod my xbox 360 for awhile now, and tonight I recieved my RC-212 from newegg. I installed the card in my computer, but it fails to detect it. I try to run the software to install the drivers, but I get a message saying it can't find the supported hardware. After hours of searching, I found one site that mentioned I would need to update the BIOS. I did, and did nothing to solve the problem. So, if anyone can help me it will be much appreciated. Thank you.
Sorry for the double post, but I left out a few things. I've tried putting the card in different pci slots, and before I had a modem installed in one of them so I know the pci slots work... I'm so stumped and don't know where to start!
It's possible that the card is a DOA. See if you have a friend's pc that you could try to install the card in. If it doesn't work, then send it back, if it does, it is something wrong with either you installing it or the slot you are installing it in.
ALso, if you 360 hasn't been flashed yet (previously), it might be best to wait to flash it until after Nov 19th, the day that the dashboard update comes out. This way, if there is a ban hammer that drops, you wouldn't have to worry about it and could wait until the next up to date version of ixtreme comes out.
Side note: I thought I read on another thread on here that a new version (ixtreme 1.5) is supposed to come out shortly after the dashboard update anyways.
