I think he is talking about switching his NTSC xbox to a PAL box. It's a optin in XBMP and XBMC

Ok. Just a question.
Becuase I cant enter my xbox by ftp(it wont respond) ore by cd, how can I fix it. Im about to turn it in to a shop whos specialised on modcip and instalation. They claim the only way is to remove the chip, place another chip insted, install the nesesary files and then reinsert my old chip. I got an aladinchip in my machine now. When I asked if I can put the hardrive in my pc and install the files there, they said it was inposible.
My question, is there away for me to fix this myself, without having to remove the chip. And please remember im a newbie in this things :)

Thankfull for help

ok firstly get the slayers there is a link (it's the very first post on this forum) put it on a cdrw do you know what drive you have in your xbox? i must admit i didn't do it myself but ..... i didn't have to have my chip removed either and replaced! that's rubbish unless you've damaged your chip by flashing wrongly and you was only changing resolution right?
you just need to format the drive and reinstall apps which can be done easily with the slayers
it's important to burn this program properly as it won't work otherwise
just remember to activate the modchip when you boot up (press and hold for 1 second) and put the cd before you boot
if you did mess with your bios yes they will have to remove your chip and then replace it could be you have a thompson drive and it has problems (this happened to my bro) but that was a flash problem
