thats what i thought, i did a 78 yesterday and the tut was strictly for 78's and 79's, wabashman would know better than anyone, do you use the raw dump on the other drives as well?
i dont know man, the last hitachi i did was back in February, and it was a 47 i believe, but the tut i was using said to use raw dump on it and i dont recall it saying anything about only using it on 78 or 79s. but it wouldnt work for me so i just used the classic dump and it worked fine. however, if memory serves correct, i think after i finished the classic dump, i was able to do the raw dump.
I did the same thing wabashman classic dump from a 47dj drive and it works,but if you managed to get a raw dump as well then that suprises me.I was under the impression the raw dump feature was for the 78 and 79 drives as well,but I guess I could be wrong.The classic dump works and if its just to recover a drive key then you shouldn't have a problem.
