Hi all

First of all many thanks to larrylje for the excellent Pandora guide. After a bit of fiddling/web searching I'm now playing D/Ld games on my slim PSP and have 4.01 M33-2 running.

Here's my question: Are there any known issues with trying to use a normal PSP battery after you have used a hard-modded one? I Installed CFW using a hard-modded battery. It was definitely working normally right before I modded it. I went out and bought a new official Sony battery to replace it.

The new battery wont work. The AC adapter is working fine. When connected with a battery installed I get the orange charge light for a couple of minutes, charge meter is full, then the light goes and PSP wont start from just the battery.

Is this a known issue? Could the modded battery (which still automatically shows a green light - leading me to conclude that it is not a PSP hardware issue) have caused something to short in the PSP?

Any help/thoughts appreciated.

If it works with your Pandora battery and not with a regular battery, then perhaps the Pandora battery broke one of the pins off of the PSP where the battery connects to it.

or perhaps the replacement battery you bought was bad.

Just some ideas.

Thanks Enigma but it turns out that my slim PSP was simply not compatible with a battery from the older consoles.

Tried it with a regular slim battery and it worked first time!

Took the fat Sony battery back to the shop. They tested it in 3 slim consoles and it didn't work. Worked in an older console though. Strange since I had heard there was no compatibility issue between large batteries and slim consoles. You love and learn....
