how do i use dos flash 1.6 beta with windows vista?

i am trying to use dos flash 1.6 beta with windows vista but cant seem to get it to work. i have flashed boxs with this program with windows xp but i have since upgraded to vista and now it wont work. can someone please help me. thanks

here are some of the specific errors im getting. when i first try to open dosflash32 v1.6 beta i get this error message..


Can't install portio.sys driver!



then i read the read me file and it tells me this...



- Warning: Drivers for Windows Vista 64 Bit need to be signed, because we can't afford the
money to let portio64.sys sign you need to do the following:
1) Log on as Administrator
2) Enter the following command in a Dos-Box:
"bcdedit -set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS"
(we made sure there are no typos in the line above) :)
3) Press enter and reboot your PC
4) Press F8 key upon initial system boot up
5) Choose to disable forced driver signing enforcement for that boot session.


can someone please tell me how exactly to do this. i dont know how to get into a dos-box?

press WinKey+R

when prompted enter "cmd" without the quotes....

i got into the dos window and entered what it said but it diddnt work. i flashed a benq with dos flash when i was running xp so i dont get why i cant with vista.

can someone tell me how to get around this error whenever i try to open dosflash32...

Did you try to run it as administrator?That is one of my biggest Gripes about Vista.

I just tried it on my Pc and I still had to right click and run as admin to get it to work but it did work for me.I am also using the dosflash32 v1.6 Beta.
I am sure if you try what I said it will work ,I get the same error as you if I don't.

ive got 1 more question...after i push f8 and get into the boot screen, i dont see any option to get into advanced boot options so i can disable the driver deal. the only thing i see is a screen that shows my dvd drives and my hard drives and options to change boot order.

Go Here in Reg with them they have the best Guides on the net.Go to the Tutorials Section for the 360 all your answers are in there.There is even a section somewhere in there forums about Vista Flashing and problems.

it'd very simple just copy the file to C:/windows/system32/drivers/

and that's it.

now try to open the Dosflash again and it will work!
