I was looking to connect a wii to a monitor

it has a dvi and vga socket

would something like this work ? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Adapter-DVI-I-RC...4268914&sr=1-18

also how can i connect it to also get sound ?

Well obviously that's for component cables, so make sure you have those (I'm sure you do). As for sound, I don't know. I haven't seen this done before. Anyone ever try this?

i use a external tv tunner card was 69 bucks has component so its 480p at least and sound through my stero instead of computer speakers works not bad

there is a wii vga cable out there now so you can use that but its like sold out every were

i bought

I bought this and it works great. it doesn't run at higher resolutions other than its native 640x480 but it looks great nonetheless.

i had a look at that cable, but i'm hearing this doesnt work on pal tv/monitors

and i think the person above has said its sold out everywhere

I looked all over the place alot of back orders on that cable right now so far its like 1 month down side is the audio.. with that cable you need to convert it or hace something that can play stero sound.. what i did was get that box and i can plug computer speakers in for audio but im useing it just for video since i have everything set through the stero for sound.

mother of god !

i got the cable above, but it doesnt even fit my monitor.

didnt realise there was 2 types of dvi sockets, the cable i got was a DVI-I. I needed a DVI-D for this monitor

anyone have any other ideas please?
