ok i just got the new 2.50 firmwire and I started up my ps3 again and when it was booting it went to the updating database process.....and heres the problem it didnt even start yet. Its still on zero percent and its still counting the remaining time....and its almost an hour now.....has anybody experienced this?

So you have already got the download to 2.50 100% complete and now it is hung up while actually trying to update the hard drive? If so, "do not turn the power off to the PS3". Call Sony while it is still in this state.

Looks like you may get to test that 'recovery menu' before the rest of us :)
