I'm having a problem with my xbox live. I can get online and play people but there certain ones like my friends for instances that it wont let me pay with I always get a message like "Cannot Connect to host" I thought it would go away but it doesn't. I dont know why I can play with some people and not others but its stopping the same people everytime. I think its a firewall If not can someone tell me what it is and if I can fix it?

well that would be a good place to start checking, but you would have to have direct access to the firewall itself. and i am doubting that you have that sort of access since it is a campus. also, be careful of what you surf and talk about on the web, campus's monitor what their ip's are doing & where they are going very closely.

so you are able to play on live but your friend isn't? I take it you are able to do a direct lan game, just not over live? Does he have his 360 behind a router, or do you, or anything?
