my modded wii will read discs SOMETIME

here is my proplem, I have had my wii modded for about 8 months, suddenly it just doesnt read my discs all that well. I have tried regular discs, burnt discs, new burns and old burns. I will put a disc in and about 80 percent of the time it wont read.

I have a presoldered d29 pro. I think that is it, anyway it just clips in. What do you think the problem is. I am thinking the laser is going bad.

Another thing, when I put a disc in, if it doesnt read it, it wont eject the disc.

The wiiclip has been known to come loose. Have you tried reseating the clip?

So you're saying your retail copies of your games don't work either? I guess it's worth checking the modchip to make sure all your connections are fine, but it is most likely your laser

It could be the laser, but I think it's more likely that the clip is loose and shorting something out.
