Im going through a hell of a time trying to flash this. I bought a via sata that is compatibale. i tried a ton of methods and got lost due to the old guides on every site.

currently:
1) my xbox is fully disasmbelled
2) my sata is connected from my sata card to my xbox
3) via sata compatable running
4) have 2 usb drives to use as bootable devices
5) i have my xbox plugged in and close to my computer incase of electrical shock

Now what the hell do i do to get to 1.4 ixtreme firmware on my xbox 360. i was following this one iprep 101 guide that in the pictures he was in a dos menu but when i booted it asked me for a serial number. WTF!!!!

Need help post here. and in advance thanks.

Hi,
once your in Iprep, ensure you have xbox power in and TV cable attached, follow the instructions stated on screen and it will work, I did one last week, Noob guide differs from on screen instruction. I followed on screen steps and it worked fine, ensure you wait the full 15 secs when instructed...

Also ensure Sata cable is connected to the one at the end of the sata card inside the PC, not the one at the back of the PC.

It will ask you for your serial number. That is exactly what the program does. Follow textbook's guide. It shows you in the guide that it will ask for the serial.

ya i followed that guide to. Should i replace the firmtools as illstrated in the pdf guide or wat? the guy was naming commands for iprep that didnt even exsist. I tried tons of things and it only brang me back to error flashing. go back to main menu. i must have tried a thousand things lol. any suggestions. Could it be that my xbox is hooked up into sata 1 instead of 0(far inside of computer) or 3 (outside slot)?
