ixtreme 1.4 of xtreme 5.3 which is better and why?

I was only able to flash my samsung drive with xtreme 5.3 bit I heard ixtreme 1.4 is better for playing on xbox live, I could not flash my box what that firmware. Am I really missing out on anything, or is it just the luck of the draw when it comes to playing online, are there any features I'm missing or anything? My games play fine by the way.
And before anyone starts in on me, yes I know I will eventually be banned no matter what, thats not my concern, I was just wondering if there any added benefits to using ixtreme as opposed to xtreme 53
