okay so my old one is banned from xbox lives cuz i modded it. if i go to a retailer store now, do they stil have any consoles with benq drives left? or it's all gone? a while back ago, i heard from some rumors that benq drive is still available in stock. if any know any info, please get back to me asap. thanks

it's really hard to find them. I think you need lot 817 or below to not get a liteon. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

But it almost is all liteon now.

very little chance... you need to find a store that sells them but just doesn't do much business... so they will have old enough units stocked.. problem is they need to be like 7 to 8 months old which is very hard to find.

best bet is probably to use ebay. I found a guy selling 360s, and told him that I only wanted one if it had a samsung drive. He sent me one that did and was working great. So maybe look into that.

or look on craigslist (if you have it in your area). i got an elite (manufacture date of 2.28.08) sans hardrive for 160$ with all cables plus a hdmi cable. i always see deals on there for 360's for less than 200$ (i'm in the san diego area).
