Hi
I read a lot of guides about burning wii isos, but i get stuck at the part of patching, i downloaded 2 patcher with a GUI, one is called the simple patcher and the other i don know it just says ''bc-gui.exe'', the simple patcher at the time of patching comes out with an error saying that the info of the iso couldn't be found, and with the other patcher it takes about 3 seconds to patch and a message says, patching successful, but i dont know if the patch was applied or not, so can someone please help me about how to patch via cmd?
or if someone could tell me if the patch did applied right.

I'll apreciate any help.

Sorry for my bad english.

are you trying to patch them for the homebrew version of launching backups, or for a madchip?

hi
could be the iso?, cause the iso is not of a regular wii game, is of a rom compilation, i downloded and it says ''n64 ron set'', just patch, burn & enjoy.

cause i have used the bc-gui other times and it takes longaer to patch; about 3-4 minutes.

the iso weights: 886 MB.

Doubtful... as you patch from dos (command prompt)

Put your iso and your patch application in the same directory and use the command line tools after navigating your dos window there.. Use the real filenames and proper numbers.. I am only listing examples of the format used to patch.

Should look like this....

C:\path\to\directory\with\files>patcher-app.exe isoname.iso numbers-for-final-iso-size <enter>

and then wait for a few minutes..

Can't remember the number offhand.. they are always the same so look them up.. it is in bytes so the number format is 1234567890 (but that isn't the number X)

This method works.. we did it with a beginner on IRC a couple of nights ago, and I don't even have a Wii..

If it is a ROM set then it boots via GC mode and the bootloader will not boot GC mode.

Also there is a new beta version of the loader that will run unpatched backup disc. You can find more on the new beta version HERE.

hi
@varnull i tried the way you mentioned but it keeps saying "Erro opening iso file" or "Cannot retreive iso info", maybe the iso is corrupted.

It can't retrieve anything because it is not a Wii game disc. It is a ROM package that boots via GC mode. Boot Loaders are not GC compatible.

At this time only a Modchip can do it.

You can however boot Emulators via SD card using Twilight Princes Hack or Homebrew Channel to boot the Emulator.

HERE is an example of a SNES Emulator.
