Just use BrickBlocker on the Wii Music ISO before you burn it.

The update isn't actually necessary to play the game.
I have 3.2E
Is there any "Update remover" or something? How can I skip the update and start the game ?
(same question for Disaster: Day of crisis)

The post you quoted answers your question. Use WiiBrickBlocker (you will need to rip the game back to your PC to patch it if you still don't have the original ISO then reburn it).

i've got a PAL Wii with 3.2E firmware and played Wii Music without updating using the Gecko OS which I launched via the HomeBrew Channel...

I guess the game dosent actually require the update specifically to play...

Thanx man
Haha, I didn't know that BrickBlocker is an update remover!
I thought that it is only used for NTSC games on PAL.
I patched "Disaster: Day of crisis" too. Both games now work fine on my 3.2E!

I have an NTSC Wii with a NTSC Wii Music backup burned at 2.4x on Verbatim. Burned and installed the update and the games freezes at the controler strap warning screen. Any suggestions?

On a side note; When I open WUM and set my Wii region as USA NTSC then open an NTSC ISO(backed up myself). WUM always tell me that it's a different region from my Wii. Anyone else have this happen?

John
