I just recently bought a PSP 2000 Model from eBay
It just arrived, and I've found out its the 3.9 firmware on it, so i can unlock it
how do i put custom firmware on it?
my questions are:
What shall i do after ive opened the battery up, what do i have to cut to make it into a pandora?
What program should i use? totalnewbieinstaller?
Give me some tips please? :P

Hi there, well for a start... consider the option of having a friend with custom firmware making your battery pandora compatible as this will save you the trouble of soldering the pin back to the board if you have not removed it entirely

the problem with the hardware mod is the idea of opening the battery cutting a trace or pin on the chip and then unlocking the PSP system then re-attaching the pin correctly. you may run the risk of damaging the battery so its always in custom firmware mode or even blowing it up.

you could decide to pay for a Datel tool battery off the internet. these are cheap and very easy to use. no modification required to operate the battery. its permanently in service mode. these are very efficient in my opinion and should be considered.

as for the installer. it does not matter which you use as you always get the same end result. the total newbie installer is just for the people like the title suggests.
