Please excuse me if this is wrong forum. Working towards vcd back-up of dvd, when using tmpg to encode from vob to mpg, the resulting video has glitches (hitches) every 6th or 7th frame. It looks like 2 frames are being interlaced one over the other. I have ran successful back-ups of several dvd's using same technique with great results, but the last 2 or 3 produces same results. Am using VCD Galaxy combo pack (incl tmpg). Have I latched on to some new industry encrypting method?
Also, I know that there are faster encoder's out there. I have used MainConcept for avi to mpeg with great success, (one hour avi takes 1 hour to encode to mpeg) but haven't figured out how to use it with dvd back ups. Is is able to do this task?
Would greatly appreciate any help, and if this is the wrong forum for this type of question, I aopologize. (p3 700mhz,384sdram) tyvm =o/
