im trying to do cfw on my friends psp but whenever i try to turn his psp on it freezes plz help!!!

you will have to explaine it a little more for someone to help but it could be possible that its one of the newer slim with the TA-088 that can't be modded
also you can try going into the recovery menu, reset tjhe psp and hold the r trigger and then disabled all the plugins and goto advanced and format the flash1 and reset settings.
