I'm currently running firmware 3.03 OE-C on my PSP. I would like to upgrade to the newest firmware so i can play new games. What is the latest firmware and do I have to upgrade to a different firmware before i can get the lastest? Can you give step by step help?

Thanks

The latest firmware is 5.00m33-3 but personally i would just go to 4.01m33-2 as there are a few bugs in 5.00m33-3 but are getting sorted as we speak. First you need to update to 3.52m33-4 before you can go any higher, heres a link http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/616311

I am in the exact same position(bought the PSP with 3.03 OE-C installed), and I have some questions (seems like my biggest fear in life is a bricked PSP):

1. Do I have to/Should I downgrade the PSP to 1.50 before using the mentioned guide, or can I just run the PSP in 1.50 mode?
2. Looks like I ran out of questions.

I have a Phat PSP btw, and I do not have a Pandora battery (I don't need one, unless I need to unbrick, right?).

I'd appreciate your help.

Anything else I need to mention?

Oh, and btw, Merry Christmas. :)

PLEASE! Tell me you got the f****** golf shoes!

Ha glad you got it sorted but you dont just use your pandora for unbricking a psp, you can also use it for upgrading almost any psp from any firmware depending what version mms you are using without having to downgrade to 1.5 first. I always keep my pandora and mms handy!!!
