So I already scratched dead space too badly to rip it to make a backup. I am trying to look online (as my only other method since I don't want to rent and no friends have it) and I have a question.

I am looking on news groups, and the download for it is 6.7 gigs. I don't think this is the right size. Does that mean that this is a bad backup of it and I shouldn't use/get this one?

Or is it just missing files? And if it is missing files, how would I get those?

what's wrong with 6.7 gigs ??

i've seen two copies ... they are

5.94 GB (6,379,207,461 bytes)

7.29 GB (7,835,496,701 bytes)

i dunno the difference

The initial download size depends on how well they compressed the files. Its also depends where your getting the files. If your getting them from newsgroups the download will be larger because of the par2 files. Anyways all that really matters is that your getting it from a reliable source.

Once you Extract the Winrar Files it will be the right size.And there will prob be par files included,incase one of the rar files is messed up the par file will fix it.
