my 360 has had ring ofd death twice before but now i think the laser are gone because it just keep saying disc error,i phoned customer service and my warranty is up so i phoned them uop next day and said i ahd the rings again do u think i will get away with telling the lies so i dont have to pay,cheers

If i were you i'd just leave the console on for an extended period of time and let it rrod itself. You know it will eventually heat up and get the rrod. If you get the "to play this game please put it in a 360 console" error then you know the board is bad on the dvd drive.

i dont know about the whole leave it on and it will RROD theory, my first console was on for almost a month straight and never RROD. only got rid of it because it finally got banned from LIVE. and my new one is hardley ever off also and hasnt RROD or been all that warm.

true but the new ones are a lot better what u need to do is cover the top of the xbox the holes and the holes on the side and let it heat up for a while and it should break lol
then microsoft will take it for free and send a brand new one for free but the wait may be a bit long
i had to wait for about 8 weeks when i got 3 ROD over the summer but it usually isnt that long lol
