My PSP runs on FW 1.5 , I have been using DevHook from the disk up to now, but would like to update.
Any suggestions on the best firmware/ software? Would like to either keep the PSP on FW 1.5 if possible or be able to easily downgrade it back to 1.5 if I needed to.
Thanks in advance

1.50 is way outdated man o.O
Update your firmware to a custom firmware :)
Since you have a 1.50 firmwared PSP, upgrade your PSP to 3.52m33-4 and then to 4.01m33-2
The latest custom firmware is 5.00m33 but I haven't used it so I can't give you any recommendations >_>
Feel free to ask any questions :)

Thanks for the advice.
I read some articals so I can update my PSP to custom firmware and sounds fairly painless. However when I connected my PSP to the computer via USB cable, I can see the drive but I can not xplore it, it keep saying "please insert a disk into drive". To connect I must put the PSP into the USB mode. Any ideas why I can't get to the files in the PSP?

seems like memory card has been corrupted or your flash0 on your PSP either one can cause that but if you don't have anything important that you cant replace try formatting it with your PSP to see if it helps; 1.50 is still useful but devhook is outdated so you need to update even if it means buying another memory stick for making the pandora + magic memory stick or other modding method and you can get 1.50 add ons to later firmwares now so that you can still get the benefits of having firmware 1.50.

Thanks, Formated the memory card and that did the trick! Managed to update the software up to 3.52 M33-4. So far so good, next step is to update it to 4.1.
Thanks guys for your help!
