Hello there, I hope someone can help!

I downloaded the NTSC version of Wii Music, and I used something called Wiizzle, and it patches the update on the disc and the region.

I popped it in my Wii and the little title thing came up fine, when I clicked "start" a black screen came up, nothing appeared at all.

I then patched it with just the update, forgetting that my Region Free setting was turned off, so it didn't read it.

SO, my question to you is:

1. If I update to 3.3E (England, yes?) via Wii Update, and then just use a region patcher and update with the game, will I get duplicate channels?

I heard from someone that if I had 3.3E and updated it with the game's 3.3U I would have duplicates. And if I had 3.2E and updated it with the game's 3.3U I would get a semi brick?

2. Will updating to the 3.3 be fine, if all I do is play backups, no homebrew or anything.

3. In regards to Question 2, will using a patched version of the update be okay? (I don't want to use it, I heard that it just helps the home brewers)

Sorry for my long and boring question, but I really have to know what I'm doing before I get a semi brick!

Please help me out ASAP,
Thanks in Advance!

Sorry for the double post, I couldn't find the edit button?

I have actually updated by Wii to 3.3E quite a while ago (LOl) So what should I do?

Should I use Wii System Update to update to 3.4E and then run Wii Music NTSC?

Sorry the triple post, but I have just updated to 3.3E.

If I put in the disc that is PATCHED PAL and BRICK BLOCK'D. Will it work?

Otherwise, if I PATCH PAL it, when the game tells me to update, should I just get duplicate channels?

Some games can not be bricked blocked the outcome is black screen during boot up.

I haven't brick blocked the game disc because I am in NTSC(U) region and unfortunately Wii Music hasn't been entered in the region compatibility chart yet so there is no information yet of what other PAL users have done to get it working or if it even works.

But if your updated to latest PAL firmware the chances are (not 100%) all you will get is duplicated channels.

If you want to wait and check back to the region compatibility list HERE is the link to it.

UPDATE: I did some extra checking and it seems the Wii Music is Balance Board compatible. More then likely you will need to wait till a PAL version of Wii Music comes out. Others have reported of Black Screen on their PAL systems and more then likely the cause is due to the Balance Board compatibility (as was the case for WiiFit).

However there has been 1 confermed user that said it worked with his RAL system using the below settings...

PAL
Wiikey
Brickblocked
Boot via Gecko OS FORCE NTSC:ON

I think it may ahve something to do with the fact that US and JP uses NTSC technology in their TV's?

Oh well...

No I think it has something to do with the hardware part of the Wii balance board. Most NTSC (U) games can be played on PAL units. But as I said there was another guy that loaded it fine using Gecko OS. But you might have issues installing and running homebrew since you have updated to the latest firmware.

Could you help me use Gecko OS? People said it works fine, but I have no idea how to use it. Do I need the homebrew channel?

If so, do you know how to install it on 3.3E?

I got Wii Music running using Homebrew channel, installng Menuloader, then booting through that with 'Disable Updates' on... this prevents the game from installing the update.
