Grey screen after installing homebrew using Scott Anthony's Tutorial (unmodded Wii)

I just got a brand new Wii about a week ago (US Version NTSC) and i went through all the steps to get the homebrew going via Scott Anthony?s Tutorial(no errors, everything installed and loaded successfully). I burned the isos on Sony DVD-R discs. Now the issue: I get a rolling grey-colored screen with the game loading in the background, no sound. Its kinda like when you would accidently change the channel on a tv itself and you can see a faded background of another channel -- hope that made sense. I had another game do the same but all i got was an entirely grey screen. Very weird. Any ideas? I did not have any error messages through any of the steps leading up to this.
