I was playing a game on the PS3 the sound went off on the game didnt think nothing of it tried to save the game and it froze on the system i had to switch it off from the back after it had been froze for 5 mins with the saving part flashing on the screen.
Since then at times it wont read when a disc has been inserted and sometimes when it reads there is a disc the screen goes blank with an error occured message on screen and a code written on screen.

I can have the PS3 off for a day then everything seems fine play a game then it will freeze when i go to save or freeze after a football match. i dont know if this is an overheating problem or a Firmware problem as i have recently updated to firmware 2.50.

Any ideas anyone?
