I updated my Homebrew Channel to Beta9 yesterday, and for some reason, some of my apps do not work anymore. The apps were created as part of the wii pack generator on wiibrew.com, and they all worked before i updated HBC, but now only a few of them work. Can someone help me?
Also, I want to run the backup loader, but it requires to install cIOS 36. The thing is that I already have patchmii installed. Would I have to uninstall patchmii first, or can I have both patchmii and cIOS36rev5 installed at the same time?
Thanks.

Ooooohhhh, ok i see now. Yeah the ones that don't work are elfs. hehe i'm blind, thanks for that.
Anyway, now i just need to know if it's safe to have patchmii and cios36 installed at the same time.
I installed DVDX already also for dvd playback released earlier, so would I need to do it again?

cios 37 is better imo, and yes it would be okay with patch mii. As for the dvdx question you dont need to reinstall.

Can the backup loader be used w/ cIOS 37? Because the tutorials/guides I read all use cIOS36.
And for DVDX, I installed it once already, but it wasn't with advanced options (which i believe is needed for the backup loader to work w/ cIOS). Wouldn't I have to reinstall it w/ advanced options?

I also updated HBC and Wad manager (elf) doesn't work any more.
Is there a DOL version of Wad manager or is there any other Wad installer?
I had to remove HBC v9 and install v8 again and now Wad manager works fine again.

No need for help.
I found Wainkoko made new Wad manager v1.3
WAD Manager v1.3 (soporte SDHC, funciona bajo HBC 9)
It means it now supports SD cards up to 64 GB!
Still doesn't work with v3.3 and v3.3 v2 (octobar23) update

All right, I uninstalled DVDX and patchmii, installed cIOS36, and then reinstalled DVDX w/ advanced option IOS249. I burned a backup disc, and when I try to launch it with the loader, it says "ERROR! (ret = -4100)"
Can somebody tell me what this means and why it won't work??

Ok so now I guess I would have to uninstall cIOS36 and install cIOS37.... Would cIOS36 uninstall w/ just wad manager, or would I have to use anytitledeleter like I did w/ patchmii??
Do you know what "ret = -4100" means? I don't know exactly what the problem is so I don't know where to start...it may be bad media for all i know...

i heard if you get errors in wad sometimes its the SD card itself but that is rare. Its probably your specs. Wii 3.2 works with everything usually. I wouldnt go 3.3 or higher.

cIOS37 was used with the old Backup/Boot loader version. cIOS36 is used for the new WiiGator BETA 0.3 version.
I would suggest keeping cIOS36 installed and use the new WiiGator Loader HERE.
You can uninstall DVDX since it is not needed (unless you use other homebrew that requires it) and you do not need to patch the game ISO for this new BETA version.

So I won't need to install the cIOS that the download of backuplauncher 0.3 comes with right? Since it's cIOS36 which I already have? I just run the backup launcher?
By the way, I used this thread here to install cIOS36, DVDX, and try to run the patched game. This is the method that didn't work for me.
Thanks

As long as it is cIOS36 rev 06 you are fine. If it is a lower rev then you will need to uninstall it and install rev 6.
If you used the guide you linked then I think it is a lower rev #. You will proabbly need to uninstall the cISO and make sure that rev 6 is installed.

Cool, I uninstalled cios36 rev 5 and installed rev6.
One question before I burn my ISO: Would I need to change the book type to DVD-ROM??
I tried to run the patched ISO I burned from the tutorial thread I linked with this wiigator backup launcher, and it didn't work. I don't whether it was because it was a patched ISO, or because I should've changed the book type. I get an error with a bunch of jumbled letters.
Thanks.

If it is DVD+R media it will help to booktype it to DVD-ROM. The new BETA 0.3 should work with both patched and unpatched backups.
Keep in mind that not all games are Backup Loader compatible. HERE is a compatibility list (BETA 0.3 should have better compatibility).
If you still have issues then try using different media.
