PSP store on PSP in new firmware 5.00...pls neeed help

I have the latest firmware 5.00 and the psp phat
when i try to sign up for the psp store on psp it says that a system software update is needed ..... what do i do??????pls help

are you sure you have the latest firmware? it should be 5.01 or 5.00 M33-3 depending if you have a official psp or modded.

If it is 5.00M33 then you need to enabled the version.txt in recovery, this tricks the psn store into thinking you have 5.01 (in simple terms)

for 5.00 M33 you had to copy a .prx file to your flash0 aswell as enabled the version.txt but it was fixed to be automatic without changing anything in 5.00 M33-3 but he didn't say he was on custom firmware so in that case official 5.01 firmware will let him back in
