I just got myself a 360 arcade, manufactured in September, and I want to flash it so I can use backups, here's a photo of my DVD drive.

Which DVD drive is that, and how would I go about flashing it? and Can I stealth it so I won't get the console banned from Xbox Live?

I can't find anything definite about it, one site says I need to solder a switch to the DVD drive, one says I just need to flash it...

Okay, I have yellow wires, so I have a Lite On drive.
Can I flash it or not? and if not, can I just buy a Samsung or something off eBay and put that in instead?

Man, if you're not willing to put in the bare minimum amount of time, then you're not going to get help. Come on, the slightest bit of effort?
Whether the Lite-On is a drive that you can flash is something which has been answered quite literally hundreds of times on this forum.
Do a search, and then, AFTER SEARCHING for your answers, if you have new questions, post them. We will be happy to help then.
And the reason I am not answering your question is not to be a (insert insult here), but to try to teach you this concept, so we don't get future questions similar to this in the future.

Okay, I need to either replace the DVD drive or wait, I think I'll wait, in case there is a way to put burnt games on the Hard Drive later on or something.

With the lite-on, you'll have to save some money. Just so you can buy another drive, and then have your modder switch out the drives. But that's the only fix with it for now.
