I have just bought ACER Aspire 5930 from Spain and my Vista(all toolbars,taskbars,errors etc.)is in Spanish.
I really dont understand a thing and the only solution I know is to bye another Vista which will be 200-300$.I`ve read in many forums that there is some way to change your laptop`s language but I didnt see anything specific.
If anyone has ACER Aspire(no matter what model exactly,i believe its the same for all) or just know how to change the language it PLEASE,write me on PM or reply here.

Normally with any Windows OS if it wasn't installed initially with the OS you would need the installation cd to install the additional language or languages.
But it may have been installed by default with the spanish one, i'm not keyed up with Vista but with Windows XP you go to: Control Panel, then click on: Date,Time,Language and Regional Options, then click on: Regional and Langauge Options, there you will find options to change langauges under Regional Options, customise.
You then have to add the languge you want from the drop down menu, next click on langauges, you should see both the spanish and your new added langauge, click on the spanish one and click remove, it will probably say the langauge can't be removed because it's in use, it will be removed on your next reboot.
Then there's Advanced were you have to choose your lanuage for none unicode programs, just pick English US or UK depending on where your from, this obviously goes for the previous choice of language.
I'm sure Vista can't be that much different as long as the language is installed with the OS, which i'm sure it will be, if not you may be prompted for the installation cd.
Obviously this will all be in Spanish but you should be able to recognise the right key words to find your way to the language options.

I did all you said(at least i think so :] ) But there is no change..Obviously, i can't change it that way...I have to bue new Vista.
A thing which really encourage me was that on first page of the manual of the laptop was written that there are EN/ES/PT languages available.If i find them they will be available :]

Did you find the drop down menu with all the languages or any langauges section?, i havin't got Vista but if you did find the English one you will have to remove the Spanish one before the English one will work or appear.
I'll pop round my friends who has Vista and have a look later, i don't think you will need to buy the Vista cd again if you can't do it this way, all you need to do is borrow one, as adding languages does not involve any validation from microsoft, well not with XP, it just needs the cd to copy the files.
