I'm sure this has been answered before... I've tried searching before posting and humbly apologize if it has =/

I'm currently using a PSP Slim OFM 4.01 PSP-2001PB / 98510

I created the magic memory stick using a 512mb sony pro duo using the guide from: [url=http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/708959][/url]

Everything installs fine.

I think there's a possibility it may be the tool battery (its made for the fat PSP) but the description said where he got it, that it works with slim psp 2001.

When I power the PSP with the pandora battery and MMS inserted I get a green light with a solid black screen; same thing if the 'R' trigger is held down. I noticed in many of the online video tutorials the screen is on and blacked out... this is not the case, the screen is completely off.

I don't think its bricked however, because when I remove the tool battery and put the regular slim one back in, everything powers normal.

Any advice?

if it was 4.01 ot of the box, then you can't do anything. there is no way around it.

if it was upgraded to 4.00+, then you will have to recreate the MMS.

i got a problem kinda like his. i got a cfw 3.80m33-5 psp and it bricked. the green light turns on but no screen when i put in a mms to unbrick it the damn green light flashes for a second and then goes out. any advise? if so please email me at edited by ddp this is the third psp i have bought and this is the second time this has happened! please help me i dont want to spend 200 more dollars on these damn toys!!!!
