Using DC 7: Clarification needed

I followed a DC 7 guide somewhere on this forum and I just need a few questions answered.
I feel that i have the TA-088 v2 Motherboard, so I need DC 7 and Pandora Battery...ok.

Do i need another psp with cfw already installed on it to be able to install 4.01 m33 on my psp that has been upgraded from 3.95 to 4.05?
If this is true, then i am guessing that DC 7 puts files in a memory stick to get booted by the pandora batt right?

yea it does but since dc 7 is homebrew you would need a modded psp to make a magic memory stick with it so you may want to try pandora deluxe 2.5 or easy installer
