I'm saying 450W is the bear minimum supply for your gpu, and I think it's a good idea, generally, to have more power than you need.

No, 450W is the recommended minimum, i.e. any old 450W unit. The Corsair VX 450W puts out more power than a lot of 700W units. ATI just have to cover themselves for when someone's using a crappy value Qtec or Ultra PSU, and then 'this graphics card fried my PSU - do not buy' - them not realising the reverse was the case.

It seems he has realised he was in the wrong and so he's decided not to mention it anymore. Thanks for clearing that up though, I was worried I was gonna have to cancel and re-order a new PSU.
