Ok I've been a lurker around these forums for about a month reading about how to downgrade PSPs. I recently got a pandora battery and made a magic memory stick. I inserted the pandora battery and the magic memory stick and held down the R button like the guides say. I was happy to see it go to the "recovery screen" (or at least that is what I think it is called, it is all black and has seven lines of test one of them saying "press x to install 3.71 M33"). Now, my PSP was official firmware version 3.52 before I started all of this. I thought that I did everything correctly, but when i press x to install 3.71 M33 it says that it can't find the 371.PBP. My PSP won't work with the normal battery, all it can do is go to the recovery screen with the pandora battery. Is my PSP bricked? Is there any way to fix this? I'm not sure if this will work but I was wondering if I could just use my neighbor's PSP (which has official firmware)with my magic memory stick to download the 371.PBP and move it my memory stick and that would fix my problem. If not, does anyone know how to help me or can redirect me to a place where I can get help? Thanks in advance for your help and sorry if this is a common problem, I've tried looking for a solution but couldn't find one.

as far as i know its not a common problem for your psp not to work with a normal battery even if the pandora process is not finished, but yes you should be able to use your friends psp to get the file you need to resume the cfw install also you might want to try holding down the L trigger or other buttons to see if the magic memory stick has other firmwares that do have complete files for install and L trigger is normally default

Hello check that the firmware update 371.PBP is at root of memory stick (i.e. F:)not on any folder if not then download from the internet the 371.PBP and put on memory. Also try to remake your magic memory check this tutorial was very helpful.
